(no) podcast (YouTube, Spotify, Apple), and to check out our amazing compilation albums. You could also possibly support my unholy work here (Patreon), if you feel like it. Early access to our bigger projects, weekly exclusive recommendations and playlists, and that wonderful feeling that you're encouraging a life-consuming habit. It's probably a bad idea, but to each their own. On to the list.

Claire M Singer – "Saor from Saor (Drone/Experimental – Touch). The proper thing to do would be I think to place the newest single from an upcoming album from this Scottish wonder, but I didn't know she even existed and so I listened to the previous album and was transfixed transfixed I tell you by the sheer power of the sounds emanating from her soul and/or her music I have also just decided I will not be using punctuation in these blurbs this week so yeah if in case you were wondering I can become more annoying unbelievable work of art

Tombs – "Wasps," from Feral Darkness (Black Metal – Redefining Darkness Records). I have not liked Tombs in a very long time I don't really know why but somewhere a few albums ago I just lost interest and to my defense I think they may have also lost interest sorry But this new one, whether related to the fact that it did not come out under a bigger label or not is pretty great gothy at times catchy at others and at even more times not sure that's the grammar ruthless like they are here

Fed Ash – "Execration," from Rotting Exuberance (Experimental Metal – Astralands). It's been five years since last we got a real bona fide Fed Ash full length which I think means like eight minutes of music so a long time and I have believe it or not spending that time both enjoying their splits and collabs but also praying as the kids say for times like these well my prayers have been answered and this fucking rules and so do Fed Ash go see them if you can I can't

Enter Paradise (Freedom Tower Mausoleum Of al-Shehhi) from 20TH HlJACKER by Vatican Shadow (Experimental/Drone – 20 Buck Spin). Dominick Fernow, the man of a thousand faces all of which are weird and uncomfortable is back with the brilliant Vatican Shadow with well what do you know another brilliant album the kind you would expect to hear in a editing-room-floor scene from the Matrix where everyone is fucking everyone else while wearing Type O Negative tank tops yeah I don't know if that's the right image but this rules

Terror Corpse – "Sons of Perdition," from Ash Eclipses Flesh (Death Metal – Dark Descent Records). Here it is folks the moment you've been waiting for – actual metal in this post wow look at that i know you've been reading my blog/website/zine/broadsheet religiously and thus also know about Terror Corpse and how much they rule from my writeup of their incredible demo a while back so here they are once again ruling though in a greater variety of tempos which is fine that's ok you can go slow sometimes i can dig it but please also do that blasting thing that's great

Wren – "Betrayal of the Self," from Black Rain Falls (Sludge/Atmospheric Sludge – Church Road Records). I loved Groundswells so much and wrote as such at the time and thus am enthused and happy to have more Wren and yes it's been out for a while but I'm not perfect you're not perfect either don't look at me ok look at me because reading and such a wonderful album by a wonderful band incredible artwork by the awesome Tobias Holmbeck so all good

Terzij de Horde – "Justice is not Enough to Leave the House of Modernity," from Our Breath is not Ours Alone (Atmospheric Black Metal – Church Road Records). Some Dutch greatness up in this flappy bitch courtesy of the human firecrackers of riffs and righteous justice that are TdH honestly I've never abbreviated their name like this and it kind of looks like a disease now nevermind powerful stuff form one of the earth's most powerful voices and music to mentally punch people in the face to

Lucerne Hammer – "Be Still," from Vermilion Pyre (Atmospheric Black Metal – Fiadh Productions). Speaking of powerful righteous voices, Lucerne Hammer already released what might just be the best demo of the year wrote about it here but have now decided that wasn't enough and released one of the absolute best just black metal releases of the year with this gem of dark majesty and sad riffs essential listening if you're a human but also ok for cats

Abraham – "06.00.40U," from IDSUNGWÜSSÄ (Post Metal – Pelagic Records). Because I skipped one week and then did another post the following week that made no sense and was about Yellow Eyes because I was sad and just in utter despair about everything I have about no kidding 30 links of music I JUST HAVE to write about but what I'm going to do instead is quietly tell you very quietly indeed that the new album from Abraham is one of the best releases of the year regardless of genre and that if you're even slightly inclined toward post-metal/atmospheric sludge whatever you need to stop feeding yourself or your children and/or parents and listen to this now

FIVE MORE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
ONE: Ok about those other links I mentioned – Blindfolded and Led to the Woods – amazing.
