Album Premiere: Drown in the Lush Bleakness of Dark Ambient Project Silence & Strength

I said I was making my slow, slithering re-introduction into a semblance of sanity, and what proof is there of that then taking the time to welcome some spectacular new music into the world. The spectacular music in question this time around is the stunning new album from Tel Aviv-based dark ambient project, Silence & Strength, The Lord of the Garden. The project is spearheaded by, well, the only person in the band, the multi-talented Stephan Friedman, whose stylings you may recognize from the iconic Choshech logo as well as some of that band's production. And it seems that aside from being a man of wonderful taste as well as an author, Mr. Friedman is also quite good at making the musics himself.

The Lord of the Garden officially unleashes into the Bandcamp chaosphere next week, September 8. But you can listen to it in its entirety right now, after the jump. Ritualistic, hypnotizing, powerful dark ambient music that makes for some of the more mesmerizing and memorable listens I've had this year. Which, given the sheer volume of music I subject myself to, is quite the feat. If you're even remotely into the darker, smoother, more enticing side of electronic/ambient music this is quite simple a release you cannot miss, and one I am more than honored to house in my bafflingly inconsistent abode.

Oh, and as an added bonus, you can also check out the flower-tastic video for the wonderful track "Leviathan" off of The Lord of the Garden. A plethora of options, if you will. I wonder when was the last time this website had so many flowers on it at the same time. Quite fetching.
